Andrew Hoffman

DSC_0291Andrew began his musical journey on piano at the age of 9, and by 13 years old, he got his first guitar, being heavily influenced by bands like Offspring, Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Pink Floyd. In high school, he played snare for concert band and was so inspired by rhythm and keeping time (and tapping on school desks, his lap, or on a friend’s kit) that he got his first drum set the next year. He started a band called Circus Mirrors, which didn’t leave the garage much, but after attending Grossmont College for two years studying recording and sound engineering and playing in the Afro-Cuban band, he joined the band InTransit Audio. He then recorded an album and played SXSW with Heavy Glow. He currently plays drums for QUEL BORDEL! and Foreign Film, and works at Deering Banjo Co.
